As cyber threats to national security grow in complexity, the Department of Defense (DoD) has implemented the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to strengthen the cyber posture of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Organizations seeking to do business with the DoD must undergo a formal cybersecurity assessment conducted by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3РАО).
